Marilyn Ayres currently serves as the interim Co-CEO, leading the organization with her interim Co-CEO as the organization conducts a search for a new permanent CEO. She is also the Chief Financial Officer at Power to Decide where she is responsible for stewardship of the organization’s financial resources including maintenance of internal controls and financial systems, timely and accurate financial reporting, and sustainability planning.

Prior to joining Power to Decide, Marilyn served as the Chief Operating & Financial Officer of the Land Trust Alliance, a national conservation organization. At the Alliance, Marilyn focused on building organizational sustainability and resilience and implemented systems and business processes that enabled the organization to grow significantly and establish a leadership position in the conservation community.   

Throughout her career Marilyn has focused on mentoring staff and building strong and highly effective teams. Her experience also includes collaborating with staff across the organization to increase integration, efficiency, and the impact of program activities.

Marilyn is a CPA and holds an MBA from The George Washington University.
